Shell will cut a further 2200 jobs, layoffs continued…

According Reuters Agency reported, the Shell announced on Monday, the group will cut a further 2200 jobs, taking its target for layoffs to 12500 by the end of the year, as it cuts deeper in face of weak oil prices.

Shell cut about 7500 staff and direct contractors last years, and previously said 2800 jobs would be cut with the intergration of BG group.

Shell have already started offering empolyees in Britain and the Netherlands voluntary redundancy last month.
